What Business Are You In?

Really, do you know what business you're in?

Most people don't.

So ask yourself...'what business are you in?'

If you said: 'the personal training business' -
that's the wrong answer.

Let me back up for a second and explain.

See, about 75 years ago railroads thought they
were in the 'railroad' business.

But in reality they were in the 'transportation'
business.

Because they didn't understand this - they
didn't move into other modes of transportation.

And they got passed by.

We're seeing it right now with the newspaper
industry. They think they're in the 'newspaper' or
'print' business while in reality they're in the
'information' business.

Because of that, they have gotten their butts kicked
on the internet.

So what I'm suggesting to you is this:

Don't consider yourself in the 'personal training
business'...instead be in the 'fitness' business or
better yet - the 'helping people live, happier,
healthier, more active lives business.'

By taking the blinders off you can find all sorts of
ways to better serve people:

:: You could run a bootcamp to serve more people.

:: You could train kids as there is no better cure than
prevention.

:: You could integrate technology or a new approach
to coaching or even some other consideration I'm not
smart enough to point out here...all in the quest to
bring your clients their desired results.

So if you want to stay ahead of the pack, it's
simple: know what business you're in.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat
