What Did You Do Tuesday?

Hopefully you took me up on this:

http://tinyurl.com/c7a3yt

If not you have until midnight to get about
$500 worth of products and coaching for
ninety-seven bucks.

OK, so my day was pretty cool. Hopped on a plane
and wrote 5 articles (I was on a roll) between
Louisville & Philly.

Visited Pam MacElree and Jason Brown's new
facility - they outgrew their old location.

Stopped by Pam's new house - their business
has grown enough to allow her to buy an
awesome 100 year old house and totally
renovate it.

Then Jim, Nick and I met for a couple hours to
discuss our current projects. Great stuff that
you'll be hearing more about soon.

Finally I went back down to the hotel restaurant
and talked to the Band Man, Dave Schmitz, about
what he's working and we uncovered an opportunity
that could potentially make him tens of thousands
in additional revenue.

All in all - an awesome day. I got to work on our
businesses, work on a couple of our mastermind
members' businesses and also got to see the fruits
of a couple more MM members' labor.

In fact that seems like pretty close to a perfect day
for most of us from a business standpoint. If you
didn't get to do all 3 of these things yesterday, try
to do them today:

1.Do a couple things to grow your business.

2.Go out of your way to help a client or two
achieve success.

3. Talk to a client or two about the success
they've had and how it's affected them.

If you do all three of these things each
day - or even most days, your business will
grow and grow and grow.

I guarantee it.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - I may be forced to pull the coaching
call portion of my Economic Stimulus Plan a few
hours early if spots fill up as fast as they
did yesterday. If you want me to *personally*
help you grow your business, go here now:

My Own Economic Stimulus Plan For You

I'm in Philadelphia with our Elite Mastermind
Group for a 2 day meeting and a one day
Meeting with just me, Jim and Nick to work on
our various projects.

Meeting with some of these high achievers has
really opens my eyes to a couple of things:

1. Some trainers are KILLING IT in spite of
the current economy. They are the ones
that have their marketing, sales and
operational systems in place and they are
the ones that are taking action.

2. Nothing beats talking live to people when
it comes to getting things done. Me, Nick
and Jim will get more done in 3 hours live
than we would in 3 months worth of emails.

Because of that I've decided to do something to help
trainers that are not in our current Mastermind
Groups and I'm going to call it my personal Economic
Stimulus Plan.

Here's the deal:

I'm going to bundle the following tools together:

Fitness Riches - normally $49

Mega Marketing For Fitness Pros - normally $47

PT Business Action Plan - normally $49

The Ultimate Fitness Pros Business Success System -
normally $97

Within these resources EVERYTHING you need for
business success is covered.

And you can have them all for $97 if you buy before
tomorrow at midnight EST.

But I'm going to take it a step further to make sure
you know that I'm dedicated to your success.

If you take me up on this and are going to be an
'action taker' - I'll also throw in a 30 min coaching
call with me.

In case you were wondering - I do not do phone
coaching anymore except with MM Group members,
but the last time I did, I charged $399 per hour and
$299 per half hour.

So if you want my help, no more excuses.

Every downloadable product we offer and a 30min
call with me for $97...if you act by Midnight Wed.

Here are the details:

How Are You Positioning Yourself?

In one of the first infoproducts I ever did, Fitness
Riches, my good friend Stephen Holt wrote a
great chapter on positioning.

To paraphrase just a bit of what Stephen touched
on - positioning is the ultimate method of pre-selling
prospects before you ever meet them.

If you position yourself as an expert, clients will come
to you instead of you chasing them.

Sounds great, huh?

So how do you position yourself as a expert?

:: Write articles for magazines
:: Write articles online
:: Write for trade publications
:: Start doing public speaking
:: Get in newspapers, on the radio or on TV
:: Get recognized for your achievements

We talk about writing, public speaking and
getting in the media all the time. In fact, Jim's
done the industry's best selling products on those
very topics.

But we haven't really discussed getting
recognized for your achievements.

Basically, getting nominated for or achieving awards.

I used to leverage my accomplishments in baseball
all the time.

When we led the country in stuff - I sold recruits on it.

When some little website named me small college
coach of the year - it went into recruiting letters.

So are you trying to get awards or recognition?

You should be.

In fitness riches Stephen talked about going to your
certification organization's site and seeing how they
accept nominees for Trainer of the Year.

Brilliant idea.

Even if you don't win, PT of the Year Nominee will
certainly gain you some local media attention and
separate yourself from the competition.

Newspapers and other local orgs often give 'Top
Fitness Expert', 'Top Gym' or 'Top Small Business'
awards.

You need to apply.

You should be working for any positioning edge you
can get. It will make your marketing and selling a
whole lot easier;)

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - Fellow subscriber and PTU member Kelly
Charette is up for a fitness model award that will
certainly help her positioning. If you get a chance,
do me a favor and head over to help her win.

Any Success I’ve Had Can Be Attributed To 2 Things…

...Reading and relationships.

I've talked at length in emails or to anyone who'd
listen about how powerful relationships are when it
comes to achieving any type of success.

But the other thing that has helped me along the
way has been a passion for reading - instilled by my
mom.

She'll laugh and tell you I learned math by reading
the backs of baseball cards and probably still maintain
a library of a couple hundred books at her house.

As you probably know Holly, Tyler and I moved in
January - and I'd guess that 20% of the moving van
was taken up by the boxes containing my current
library.

Just to give you an idea of what I read, here are
The 5 books I'm reading now (I probably read 2
chapters a day total and rotate between them
based on my mood):

The Go Giver - Craig Ballanytne sent it over and
it's a must read.

Cashvertising

Uncensored Sales Strategies

The Little Black Book Of Online Business

Rubies in the Orchard

I've had years where I read 100 books and others
with fewer than fifty.

Each year I go back and re-read the first business
book I ever read - as it's still one of my favorites
and is as powerful as ever.

Discover what it is and the first business books
Jim & Nick ever read too at:

http://patnickandjim.com/personal-training-business-books/

Be sure to share the first business book you ever
read too!

Ever Ride Piggyback?

One of the easiest ways to grow your business
cost effectively is to piggyback other people's
relationships.

Let me give you an example:

Back when I was working with baseball players
I offered to do 1 hour, low cost clinics for youth
teams as a paid lead generator.

I met with each group for an hour, delivered a ton
of value and left each clinic with a couple of clients
and a dozen leads.

I did this with 30 teams in 36 day and ended out
making more mon.ey in the next four months than
I'd ever made in a full year prior to that.

When Tyler had baseball tryouts a few weeks ago
at a local baseball academy there were about 200
young baseball players coming in and out of the
facility over about 5 hours that day.

If it were me I'd have offered every last one of
them a fr.ee or low cost (maybe $5 to get them to
reserve a spot) clinic.

At least 33% would have taken the offer. Maybe twice
that as the parents in this league seem pretty involved.

So 70 leads coming to my clinic - no way I don't get
20-40 new athletes depending on what I want to offer.

The academy didn't even collect names, let alone
make an offer.

No wonder their business is a fraction of what it was
when I first came in contact with them 7 years ago.

If you work with kids, there are tons of opportunities
to piggyback camps and sporting events in the summer.

Here is a partial list of the summer camps here in Louisville
this summer:

http://datacenter.courier-journal.com/community/summercamps/

Think a few of them might be interested in a guest
speaker on youth fitness? I guarantee it.

So go out and find people, orgs or businesses that
have relationships with your target market and
piggyback what they're doing...it's an easy, low cost
and super effective way to grow your business.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - Youth Fitness is the fastest growing segment of
the entire industry. In fact Club Business International
just asked me to contribute to an article talking about
just that. If you're not working with this market, get in
now before the clubs really catch on and beat you to it.

Two Quick Ideas For More Business

Here are two things you can do immediately
to generate more business - one is internal,
one is external.

1. Reach out to a local independent health club,
country club or rec center and inquire about
partnering with them to run a version of your
fitness bootcamp at their facility.

Position it as 'found money' for them. It's an
added service that they can offer with no staffing
or expense on their part. In fact, you'll give them
a percentage of the revenue from the camp.

Not every club or facility is going to jump at this -
but it only takes one;)

2. Offer an 'Empowerment Program'. Come up with
a program where you meet with people once a week
or once every two weeks.

Holly ran one of these where she spent about 30 mins
on nutrition each week and took her ladies through a
40 minute group session afterward. She gave them
a program to follow for the rest of the week in addition
to the live meetings. She charged $99 per month and
sold out every session we offered - and maintained a
waiting list.

There you go - two quick business ideas that could
each add a grand or two to your monthly income.

There's plenty more where that came from...all
you need to do is show up in Jersey this May;)

What Did You Do This Weekend?

Saturday Holly and I made a trip to Cincinnati
to film a couple DVD's with Carlo Alvarez for
the IYCA.

Sunday I wrote some sales copy for a product
Holly will be launching in the next few weeks.

I've found weekends to be a great time for me
to get creative work done as I don't have phone
calls and a lot of the busy day to day stuff that
comes during the week.

I'm not suggesting that you need to fill up your
weekends with work - instead I'm saying you
need to find what works best for you to get things
done.

Weekends are great for Holy & me both as Tyler
usually spends a day with his dad - so we can get
things done and still wrap up and head out for 'date
night' and leave evenings during the week more
open for his baseball practices or family time.

Some people work best in the early mornings. Other
work best at night. You need to find what works best
for you that allows you to achieve your goals.

So try some different things...

If you're not running a 5:30 bootcamp or something
similar, get up an hour earlier and see if that's what
works best.

Block off an hour in the middle of the day and see if
that's when you thrive.

Try spending an hour late in the evening working on your
projects.

Block off a half a day on Saturday or Sunday.

What works best for me isn't exactly what works best
for Nick or Jim or Brian Grasso or Craig Ballantyne.

So find out what works best for you - then start getting
more things done;)

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - Head on over to the blog and check out Nick's
post on automating your reactivation systems. You'll
love how easy this approach is for bringing former
clients back in the door!

Are You Using What You Have?

Yesterday, Holly and I went and had lunch with
our good friends Chris & Kara Mohr.

You want to talk about two incredibly sharp &
successful fitness pros - that's the Mohrs.

Not surprisingly, the conversation turned to
business and we talked a little about a couple
of the things Chris & Kara have going on - a
membership site and several DVDs.

Perfect.

They're doing a great job of leveraging what they
already have.

They create a lot of content for their bootcamp
members and the other projects they are involved
in - a membership site is an ideal way to leverage it.

With the DVDs, we just talked about the best way
of bundling them and funneling the customers into
the membership site.

Just another way of leveraging what they have (or will
have.)

Like I said - perfect.

My suggestion to you is to do what we did yesterday...

Every few weeks sit down with a colleague and
brainstorm ways to leverage the assets you currently
have.

I've said it a lot this week - there is gold hiding in your
business.

It's up to you to find it.

But I'm going to give you some help - check out
my latest blog post here:

You Get Paid For ‘Done’

Dax Moy said this at last year's Ryan Lee
Bootcamp and it has become my favorite
phrase by far.

You get paid for 'done'.

You don't get paid for ideas.

You don't get paid for projects you're working on.

You get paid for 'done'.

So instead of dabbling with a dozen different ideas,
finish the first one.

Instead of thinking about a dozen different marketing
strategies, implement the first one.

Finish one thing then move to the next...

Too many projects = too little success.

You get paid for what you get done.
So with that in mind I have 3 things for you to do:

1. Go register for:

http://www.FastTrackFitnessMillions.com

The price goes up $50 at midnight - and - today's
your last chance to take advantage of the '4 payments
of fifty bucks' option.

You do NOT want to miss this event. That's a promise.

2. Finish SOMETHING today. Anything. I don't care what
it is... a special report, a new sales script, a new trial
pass...you pick. Just finish it.

3. Email me and tell me what you finished.

I'll be waiting for your email;)

Pat

P.S. - Go enroll for Fast Track now...if you do and come to
NJ in May, I guarantee it will be worth 10X your investment.

Do You Want To Know My Secret Talent…

...Other than my ability to eat more pizza at
a sitting than any human should be able to?

It's the ability to find hidden profit in the
current assets of businesses.

In fact, today Tyler and I went to the bookstore -
I wanted to brainstorm and he wanted a copy
of Jack and the Beanstalk.

By the time we'd left I had 2 ideas that I'm 100%
sure will each add 50K to our bottom line.

I'll be talking about how you can discover the
hidden profit in your business at Fast Track To
Fitness Mil.lions, but here is a checklist to get
you through until May:

:: Who else can you repackage your core offerings
for - with only minor modifications? If you run
bootcamps, could you repackage them for
corporations, brides, busy executives, moms or
some other group?

:: Can you deliver your offerings in a different
format? Can you turn your programs into a DVD,
book or e-book?

:: Can you change the frequency? Could you offer
coaching every other week or monthly instead of
weekly?

:: Can you bundle things together? Could you
Package complimentary things that you do
together to form a Deluxe package?

:: Could you 'bottle' what you do? If you do something
extraordinarily well, can you package it well so
other professionals can replicate it?

Let me give you 2 examples of how Nick and I have
done this...

When we launched our training business we added
a one session per month and a two sessions per
month option...we just changed the frequency.

The result: 10K per month from those to programs.
Once we had a proven system, we packaged it for
other professionals to use.

The result: 71K in sales the first month.

You'd be surprised at the hidden opportunities
available to you in your business.

If you want me to uncover yours, be sure to
be in Jersey this May;)

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - The price goes up $50 on Fast Track To

that's also your last chance to take advantage
of the '4 payments of fifty bucks' option.

What’s a Mini-Bootcamp?

By now you know how popular fitness bootcamps
are and how much of an impact they can have
on your business.

Why are they so powerful? Here are the key
reasons:

:: They leverage your time
:: They're more affordable for the client
:: They integrate social support
:: They are a low overhead business model

So maybe you're running a bootcamp at 5:30
in the morning and an evening camp at 6.

What are you doing the rest of the day?

The reasons bootcamps are so powerful still
hold true at 7:30 am, 10am, noon and throughout
the afternoon.

But maybe you couldn't get 12, 15, 20 or more
people in a mid-morning class (maybe you could)...
... but you might be able to get 5 or 6.

People are still looking for cost effective training
even if they can't come to your camps at peak
hours - so maybe you should consider taking the
training system you're using for camps and making
it available at other times.

Sure, you're probably not going to be making $300
or more per session - but you might make $100.

And an extra $100 5 days per week is 25K per year.

If you want to do a couple session of that...well, you
can do the math;)

Maybe this idea is a great fit for your business.

Maybe not.

Either way - you need constantly looking for ways
to grow and improve. This was just one idea...

...I'll share another tomorrow;)

Pat

Hey adsdsf

If you want to thrive during the current economy
you need to create your own busy season.

How do you do that? Easy.

Do what's working.

So let me tell you what's working:

:: Follow Up. Make sure that every contact that you
meet gets a follow up phone call from you. Yes, phone
call. Personal = success.

:: Getting Personal. Do what others won't do. Make
personal calls, send handwritten notes, personal
emails. Rely less on your bi-weekly newsletter (you
should still be sending it - just not on it) and more
on a personal touch.

:: Referrals. Joe Polish makes it simple - he says 'Be
Referable and Reward the Behavior You Want More Of.'
So make sure you have referral systems in place and
enticing rewards for clients sending you business.

:: Selling More To Clients. If someone already is buying
from you, sell them more. You've already displayed
your value and the client already believes in you. So
find complimentary services or products to sell those
that you're already working with.

:: Reactivation Campaigns. Go back to people that know
you, like you and trust you. Come up with offerings that
have a lower price point or are better designed to suit
their needs.

:: Hustle. The people who are 'killing it' are the ones
who are out hustling the competition instead of
sitting around submitting articles online or just
complaining about how things are slow.

Finally, this is my personal contribution: look for at
least one new way to grow your business every day.

There is not a day that goes by that I'm not looking for
some new way to grow our business. Some of them
never turn into anything...but a few turn into home
runs for us.

So there you have it - that's some of what's working.

No theory, just real world results from Bootcamp
Blueprint Members, PTUers and the rest of out
network.

Now go pick a couple of those and put them into
practice in your business this week;)

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

Need Some Motivation?

By now you know that I was a college baseball
coach for a while.

Like many coaches, I was very much a student of
motivation and loved sharing motivational quotes
with my teams.

Well, my buddy and business partner Jim Labadie
shared several of his favorite quotes on our blog
so I thought I'd pass along a few of mine - so here
you go:

"Always have a plan and believe in it. Nothing good
happens by accident."

-Chuck Knox

"The difference between the impossible and possible
lies in a person's determination."

-Tommy Lasorda

"Extraordinary accomplishments only happen when
your passion produces extraordinary effort. If it does
not consume you, be ready to accept mediocre results."

-John Rennie

"Good things happen to those who wait, but only what's
left behind by those who hustle."

-Abraham Lincoln

"Genius: it's one percent inspiration and ninety- nine
percent perspiration. No one has ever drowned in
sweat."

Put A Fence Around Your Clients

Dan Kennedy often talks about 'putting a fence
around your herd' - are you?

What do I mean by that...read on.

We're in the process of moving away from two
vendors that we've used for quite a while.

Honestly, I / we have nothing personal against
them, but it has been pretty obvious that they
took our business for granted.

We've spent a decent amount of mon.ey with
both - in fact last year alone we spent over 100K
with one of them.

If you spent 100K with someone, would you want
to feel as if you were being taken care of?

Personally, if I spend $100 I want to feel that way
and I'd suspect you do to.

Customers and clients want to feel valued and are
wise to the fact that they can take their business
elsewhere if they're not being treated the way they
want - especially in the current economy.

Your current clients are the most valuable asset you
have - so treat them accordingly. Let them know
how much you value their business and go out of
your way to make sure that working with you is the
best experience they have with any business they
deal with.

Not only will this dramatically improve retention, but
you'll be thrilled with the positive word of mouth
marketing it generates.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - Because I'm all for practicing what I preach,
if you're a member of the Bootcamp Blueprint,
coming to www.FastTrackToFitnessMillions.com,

let me know if there is anything I can do to better
serve you. Just reply to this email;)

Activity or Achievement?

I don't think I've ever had a fitness pro e-mail
me and say 'I don't have enough to do.'

Everyone I talk to is busy, busy, busy.

But I also hear 'I don't get enough done' about
as often as I hear how busy people are.

So if everyone is busy - why do some people
have tons of clients, run incredible businesses
and make great incomes while others barely get
by?

It boils down to activity vs achievement.

Some people stay busy. Others get stuff done.

And as my buddy Dax Moy says...'You Get Paid For
Done.'

A couple of guys I marvel at when it comes to getting
stuff done are Craig Ballantyne and Zach Even-Esh.

One after another, Craig knocks down article, newsletter,
product and project as reliably as clockwork.

While a lot of people struggle to get one product done,
he's pretty much a machine at getting things finished.

Zach is incredible...he still teaches full time, but still
runs a super-successful facility, holds certification events
and stays on top of a membership site, blog and his
products.

These guys are both incredibly smart, driven and invest
in their education...but I think the real deciding factor that
allows them to accomplish so much is that when they start
something - they finish it.

Man, does that sound simple or what?

But as simple as it sounds, I can't tell you how many
times someone has told me about an incredible project
they are starting or have plans to start.

I'd guess about 3% of them ever get finished.

So if you want to separate yourself from the crowd,
measure yourself by what you accomplish instead of
thinking about how busy you are.

If you focus on getting things done instead of getting
distracted by the next big idea - you're destined for
success.

Talk to you tomorrow -

Pat

P.S. - If you haven't signed up for the Fast Track to
Fitness Mil.lions event in May, you really need to
take another look at what you'd be missing...

A Great Reminder

Over the past couple of days I've been talking
to a few of our customers, coaching clients and
Bootcamp Blueprint members about a couple of
new mastermind programs we're assembling.

I have to say, this is one of my favorite parts of
doing what we do.

I love getting on the phone or meeting in person
with people and learning more about what they
are doing and helping when necessary.

This weekend I spent some time talking with Carlo
Alvarez about capitalizing on an opportunity that
I'm sure will add almost 20K to his income this
summer.

I just got off the phone with Billy Corbett working
through adding a profit center to his business that
should easily add several thousand dol.lars to his
business income each month.

You should be doing the same with your clients.
Spend some time getting to know some of them
better, looking for ways that you and your business
can better serve them - and create new programs
that are a good fit for people that want to work with
you more closely.

In some cases you'll find clients that want to work
with you at a higher level - which will accelerate their
results and add to your income.

In all cases you're clients will better know how much
you care and how interested you are in helping them
achieve their fitness goals.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

how you can leverage a local health club to start your

An Idea Worth Considering

As you may know, the first two fitness businesses
that I was an owner of were training companies that
leased training rights from health clubs.

While this model was great for us, it has a few
drawbacks. It requires a decent sized staff and usually
takes a club with a bigger member base to make work
well.

However - something else we did at one of those
locations with great success might be perfect for
you if you're looking for a way to grow your training
business. If that sounds interesting to you, read on
here:

http://www.PatNickandJim.com

If you have questions about what I cover in the post,
be sure to let me know in the comments section.

Make it a party!

I'd like to share another relationship building secret
with you that is truly killer.

Finding moments to "celebrate" with clients, can
build massive good will.

One moment to celebrate and make a big deal out of,
would be at assessments when the client shows progress.

Make this the event of their life!

* People get little / no recognition.
* They don't get it at work.
* They don't get it from friends.
* They don't get it at home.

When you give someone recognition, you light them up!
You make their day, you bond deeply, and you help send a
positive message out to the world that comes back via
good karma;)

How do you make something the "event of their life"?

You announce it to other campers, clients or members
and share the moment! You congratulate them!

You give them a gift that "freeze's the moment
forever."

There is another way to celebrate with clients
aside from progress during assessments...

It's called the "25th Session Celebration."
On the client or camper's 25th session...

Celebrate their 25th session as a testament to their
commitment to the program!

Congratulate them for making it this far, make them
feel great about their progress.

Give them a gift / a memento that becomes a talking
piece when they return home. A gift of any kind
will be talked about around the dinner table. A
gift that can be brought into the office will
be talked about at home ... and... at the office,
when they bring it in.

Can you think of a better way to pro-actively
stimulate word of mouth about your business?

You're also subtly "conditioning" clients /
rewarding them, for staying on and being
consistent.

Nothing better than making your clients
happy & improving your business at the
same time.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - If you want to make your clients REALLY
happy, it all begins with getting them
results. I've just added part 3 to the blog
post about becoming a better trainer or coach,
which equates to delivering better results.

Check it out here:

A Visit To The Dentist Worth 20K?

Yesterday I hopped in the car and drove from
Louisville to Elizabethtown to visit the dentist.

I scheduled the appt back in the fall before we
decided to move, so I decided I'd just go and
then worry about finding a local dentist that
isn't an hour away.

You probably don't remember but I wrote an
email raving about my first trip to this dentist's
office - how wonderful the service was, how polite
everyone seemed and they even had TV's in case I
wanted to check out SportsCenter;)

Well, the service was incredible again and everyone
was even more friendly - if that's possible. When they
found out I'd moved they must have thanked me 10
times for coming...and this isn't an office that is
struggling for patients.

I had a conference call scheduled and needed to be
in and out fast, so the dentist re-arranged his
schedule to come in and chat for a couple of minutes.
But, just like I tell you all the time - talk about
what you do with your network - I mentioned
our upcoming launch of the youth fitness franchise.

Well - the dentist, who is a fitness enthusiast, said
"Do you think one would go over here? If so, I'd
LOVE to talk to you about investing and opening
a location!"

Who knows what will come from it...opening a
business and making that kind of investment is
something that shouldn't be taken lightly - but
not talking about it would definitely lead to...
NOTHING.

A couple of things to be learned here:

1. Network as much as you can and make sure
EVERYONE knows what you do...you never
know what will come of it.

2. Overdeliver every time. I scheduled my next
appointment before I left - and I would've done
it even if the dentist didn't ask about a franchise.

I'd spend more time looking for that type of service
here than I'm going to spend driving there every
6 mos. They treat me well so they'll continue to get
my business.

As I've said many times before - relationships
are your key to business success!

'Till tomorrow -

Pat

P.S. - The Early Bird period for enrolling for Fast
Track To Fitness Mil.lions LIVE will be coming to
a close on March 19th, at which point the price
will go up $50. Make sure you get in now:

What Would I Do?

The other day I called one of our Bootcamp Blueprint
Members just to see how things were going with his
camp.

This is pretty common - we all call BCBP members as we
want to make sure they're getting a lot from the program.

Usually the call goes like this:

I ask how thing are going. The camp owner says things
are going great or they have a question about one
specific thing that they need a bit of help with.

Well, this call was a bit different. The fitness pro
I was talking to said all the marketing strategies
we've offered were working like crazy in the
beginning but they'd not been as effective lately.

Then he asked me what I'd do if I was in his shoes.

Before I tell you what I told him - here are a couple
things you need to keep in mind:

1. He's an incredible coach. He gets great results
for his clients.

2. He has great relationships with his clients.

Knowing this, I said: "I'd go back to all of my prospects
and personally call each one. I'd basically ask them
about their goals, their pains and struggles, what's
worked and what hasn't - and then I'd tell them how
I could help them."

See, he - like many fitness pros - had gotten a little
to dependent on newsletters and emails.

Not enough personal contact.

In my mind, each of those prospects is potentially
a long term client and maybe even potentially a
raving fan. Financially, a relationship with them
could be worth thousands of dol.lars.

For them a relationship with you could be life-changing.
Better health, improved self-esteem, weight loss, more
confidence and any number of other benefits.

Isn't all that worth a phone call?

If you're having trouble getting people you meet to
show up for fr.ee trials or are struggling to convert
prospects - just take a more personal approach.

Give them a taste of the attention they'd receive as
your client.

My guess is that they'll fall in love with this personal
approach. I think you will too.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - If you haven't signed up for Fast Track To Fitness
Mil.lions, don't wait another minute. This is an event
you DO NOT want to miss.

How Things Happen

About a week and a half ago we were holding the
IYCA International Summit. One of the coolest things
I've ever been a part of.

Great speakers, great attendees...an awesome weekend.

But the other thing I love about live events like the Summit
are that they are launching pads for new projects and
business ideas.

In fact, the Summit provided me with about 2 dozen new
projects - a couple of which are already in the works.

This weekend I'm going to meet up with Carlo Alvarez to
start filming a new product.

Two weekends after that we're meeting again to film for
a different project.

There are a couple of important lessons here.

1. Face to face meetings are far more productive than
emails or even phone calls. We got a LOT of things
done in one weekend, even with all the other stuff
going on.

2. Act fast and maintain momentum. With the things
Carlo and I are working on - we're both busy, so we
need to act fast so these projects don't get pushed
to the back-burner. This has happened to me more
than once - have a great idea for a product, program
or business - but don't act on it and it pretty much dies.

So connect with people and get those creative juices flowing.
This holds true at things like the Summit or Fast Track To
Fitness Mil.lions and it holds true with local meetings and
events.

Talk with people and see how you can be of benefit to one
another.

Then act on it - fast.

Dedicated to your success,

Pat

P.S. - If you want to bounce ideas off of me at Fast Track
To Fitness Mil.lions - let me know beforehand with an
email and some notes. I love that part of events and want
to stay on top of this stuff;)

More Muney Monday

I've got a simple question for you:

What are you going to do *TODAY* that is
going to make you more muney?

More muney today and more muney long term.

What are you going to do?

Most people use Mondays to ease back into the
week and don't get a lot accomplished.

Don't be one of those people.

Today is going to set the tone for the rest of your
week.

Start with a bang.

So pick 3 things you can do that will make you more
muney and take action on the today.

Maybe 2 that will provide gratification quickly - like
today or later this week.

Then pick another that will pay off long term.

Maybe you could ask each person you meet with
for referrals or if any groups they belong to would
be interested in having you come and give a talk.

Maybe you could *call* (not email) people on your
prospect list and invite them in for a fr.ee workout.

Maybe you could offer a complimentary product or
service to each of your campers.

There are 3 'immediate gratification' ideas to get you
started.

As far as doing something that will pay off long term...

You could register for www.FastTrackToFitnessMillions.com ;)

You could start compiling your 250 list.

You could start learning about something that will add
value - and profit - to your business, like corporate
fitness, youth fitness, bootcamps, training concepts that
you're not particularly knowledgeable on or a segment
of business like sales or publicity that you need to improve
in.

OK - there are some ideas to get you started.

Now go have an incredible Monday!

Pat

P.S. - I wasn't kidding about you registering for the Fast
Track event;)
